The gameplay is the same top-down shooter style that you loved from the first game. It features many different characters and each character has their own motivation to be mowing down all of the people that stand in their way. It is great stuff and I promise that the less you read about it the more awesome you are going to find it. However, the story also takes place at various points in the 80s as well. The first game was all about the swinging 80s, but this time around we are in the 90s and that is cool. The story this time around is much more fleshed out than the first, but it does lose the more “mystery” aspect of the story, but overall, I think that Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is the better story. It offers more of the same that we loved from the first game, but it offers so, so much more than that and as a result, it feels like a much more fleshed out experience. Let me tell you, Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is how you make a sequel! I loved the first game, but when put side by side with this follow up there honestly is no comparison as this trumps it in every single way.
